To help drive awareness of Wendy’s sweepstakes promotion, the company has placed QR Codes on their packaging.
The codes are placed on the french fries’ cartons and are a part of a campaign running nationwide to promote the new Dip&Squeeze Heinz ketchup packets.
Wendy’s is the world’s third largest hamburger company with over 6,000 franchise and own restaurants in 25 countries and in the US.
The company is using the codes as a part of a sweepstakes daily promotion that allows users to scan and win cash, Wendy’s and Visa gift cards and a grand prize of $100,000.
When the customers scan the QR Code they are directed to a mobile website where they have to enter their email to be included to the sweepstake.
Then the webpage loads the users must to choose if they are a squeezer or a dipper and then finally the customers pick a ketchup package that is linked with a prize.
The promotion will be running through the 15th of October.
