The Czech Republic adopts NFC payments

The mobile and NFC payments are continuing to witness new campaigns in Europe.

Owners of Samsung Galaxy S III in the Czech Republic will now be able to exchange their SIM cards for a new NFC enabled SIM card. The service is provided by Komerční Banka, Samsung, Visa Europe and Telefonica Czech Republic.

The new SIM card will support NFC and will be provided free of charge at a limited O2 stores and will allow users to test the system.

Visa is also planning to provide the NFC payment technology as an alternative to debit/credit card transactions.

Mobile payments are offering users high standards, security and promptness, while offering a new servicing system for marketers.

Visa is hoping that half of its transactions will be via mobile devices by 2020.
