Swedish mobile operators to launch WyWallet service

Telia, Telenor, Three and Tele2 created a joint venture called 4T, to provide a mobile payments service which will give 97% of smartphone users mobile wallet that will support NFC technology.

WyWallet is using mobile security technology that is based on mobile financial services platform Accumulate’s Mobile Everywhere.

Users will be allowed to pay via SMS for public transport and other services, top up prepaid cards, transfer finds to other 4T customers and make mcommerce transactions.

WyWallet will include NFC support for payments at POS, this part of the project is to be tested in Visby town in July and the launch is scheduled for 2013.
