Stop Afib program is using QR Codes to help people with irregular heartbeat

POSTED BY on Oct 9 under QR Codes

Stop Afib is a program working to save lives and help those with an irregular heartbeat.

Atrial fibrillation is common among the forms of irregular heartbeat conditions, which places patients at a higher risk of stroke.

One of the issues with this health problem is that people who have it are not aware that they do.

The symptoms can easily be mistaken for something else.

Even though not everyone needs to be treated for it, some people do need a surgery to correct their medical condition.

The Stop Afib QR Code program is a nonprofit organization designed to assist people living with the condition and offering a large number of resources such as videos and interviews with top doctors and wealth of other information.

At the core of the program is a patient card featuring a QR Code linked to various resources about atrial fibrillation.

When the code is scanned it links the users to a mobile optimized webpage, which is fully educational.
