Starbucks to begin accepting Square mobile payments

POSTED BY on Nov 13 under Mobile & Web News, QR Codes

Starbucks announced that it will be accepting Square mobile payments in all of its US locations.

The acceptance of the Square mobile wallet will improve the user experience for the Starbucks customers.

The Square/ Starbucks partnership will see over 6,500 Starbucks locations that will accept mobile payments via the Square Wallet application, which will enable users not only to pay for their purchases at Starbucks, but to browse the menu info, explore nearby and view transaction history from their mobile devices.

The Square Wallet and the Starbucks mobile application are both available for iOS and Android and are integrated with My Starbucks Reward and the Starbucks Card projects.

The Square Wallet is directly linked to the user’s credit or debit card so it is not necessary to be reloaded.

To make a payment users simply tap to the terminal and scan the QR Code and a digital receipt will appear instantly.
