The RFID tag will be placed on the left side of the windshield and will provide information such as engine number, operating license details and plate number, as well as the color of the taxi.

Law enforcement employees will be able to scan the RFID license using a mobile device that instantly can determine if the taxi is legal and licensed.

In Shanghai, fake and illegal taxis are causing a headache to the authorities and since the roll out of the platform, over 280 clone vehicles have been detained by the law enforcement personnel.
