Sporting retailer Scheels installed an ArmorActive kisok in its Utah store, providing users an augmented reality experience.
The kiosk consists an ArmorActive iPad stand and hand held green screens.
Customers can choose from a selection of digital props that fill the green screen after the images are taken in front of the backdrop.
The image can be sent to the customer’s e-mail or shared with friends in social networks.
Between 300 and 450 e-mails are being sent daily from the kiosk by Scheels’ customers.
The photo experience is popular with company’s shoppers and it is a smart marketing strategy, as there are groups waiting to use the application at any times.
Customers love to play with the iPad and sent images to their friends and spread the Scheels brand and advertising their experience, the company states.
