Gatineau police has created a QR Code connected to their website and the sketches of persons of interest.
Users can scan the QR Code with their smartphones and will be linked to the police page.

The campaign is a part of police’s efforts to improve their communication tools to the latest technologies and expand to social media in order to catch criminals.
The police is also hoping to reach more young people, as they are more tech-savvy.
Gatineau police also has its own Facebook page and earlier this year has joined Twitter.
Several other police forces have turned into technology to spread information. Ottawa police began using QR Codes in July, as a way to keep up with mobile technologies.
Vancouver and Toronto police are also among those who adopted QR codes.
