QR Codes allow nonprofit organizations to make donations

POSTED BY on Dec 3 under QR Codes

Linxter has announced that it will be adding QR Code donation support to its mobile application allAware, that is designed to improve member and communication engagement for nonprofits.

QR Codes are making it easier for people to support their organizations, as all they have to do is scan the code via a mobile application.

For a small fee, nonprofit organizations will get a QR Code for their account and a poster with the code, which is linked to a donation page in the application.

Then people will be able to select the preferred amount they want to donate, set it as a repeated or a one time donation and select a credit card to make the donation in real time.

Member organizations have shown a great interest about QR Codes and Linxter states that the codes are a great tool that could help and engage people.

QR Codes have skyrocketed by over 600% in 2011 and almost all of top 100 US magazines have published a QR Code.

According to a research half of all smartphone owners in the US have scanned a QR Code.
