Beijing’s Raffles City shopping mall was celebrating New Year’s Eve with a Guinness World Record event for the biggest QR Code cake.

The cake was weighting 3 tons, covered 387 sq. ft. and was created with 20,000 slices.

It required 730kg of cheese, 750kg of milk, 245 kg of chocolate, 390kg of butter and 600kg of “egg mixture”. It took 10 hours and 25 bakers to complete.

When the code was scanned a news service application from Tencent (the company is the 3rd largest internet company after Amazon and Google) is downloaded,. The company was sponsoring the event.

QR Code cakes are not new, but Tencent’s cake was really impressive.
