Jefferson City placed a QR Codes to the City Council

POSTED BY on Jan 24 under QR Codes

To improve the efficiency and transparency, the Jefferson City is placing a QR Code on the door of the City Council that will held meetings two times a month.

The members of the public that are attending the meeting will be able to scan the QR Code and will be directed to links with supporting documents.

Paper copies will also be available.

The Jefferson City has made several improvements to increase efficiency and transparency, for example in 2012 the city switched to paperless packets, which saves taxpayers some money and time and also is helping the environment.

The city is also in a process of converting microfilms and paper files into electronic in an effort to make the information accessible to the public.

Residents are now able to make municipal and sewer payments online and to access copies of the city’s Police Department reports.
