POSTED BY on Sep 17 under Mobile & Web News

A pair of shoes that are using GPS navigation can take you home were created by Dominic Wilcox, a British designer.

The No Place Like Home shoes are programmed to walk you to your home wherever you are.

The fully functional prototype, includes an antenna on the back of the shoe and a GPS navigation receiver in the heel.

Users have to upload their destination via mapping software and an USB cable and to activate the service as they click the heels.

The designer was inspired by Dorothy Gale’s red shoes in the “Wizard of Oz”.

Each shoe has a series of LED lights, the left shoe is showing a ring of lights that are pointing the direction, while the right shoe is showing how far the wearer has to go.
