Google and Boingo Wireless, internet provider known for its services for airports, are in partnership to offer free internet.

Wireless internet will be available at stations in the New York’s subway from Monday.

By the end of the year 36 stations will have WiFi available and in the next 5 years the other 270 stations.

Boingo is offering few service plans, such as $8 per month for unlimited use on a handset or $10 monthly for unlimited access on two devices. Google is going to pay for the service from now until September 7th.

Even though Google’s promotion ends in September, Boingo is hoping that it will receive sponsorship to provide free internet for the NY subway regularly.

Transit Wireless started a project last year in which the company installed fiber optic cell phone network connections on some stations.
