Last week, Foxconn admitted that one of their factories in China has been firing minors and as it turns out not many people have good images of the company, especially after all the problems that have surfaced recently from the factories that are manufacturing some of the world’s high profile products.
And in case you have missed, Nintendo’s Wii is also assembled at Foxconn and after they heard about the company hiring minors, Nintendo launched their own investigation.
According to Nintendo, the company is in communication with Foxconn and will be investigating the issue. The company states that it takes its responsibilities seriously and is ethically committed on labour, sourcing and manufacturing.
Nintendo also added that if any of their partners do not meet their ethical guidelines, the company will ask them to change their practices according to their own policy.
This admission confirms what many have already said against Foxconn in the past.
