If you are a fan of the Kindle Paperwhite, the Nook as well as the reading practice and surfing using an e-ink device, then you will be glad to hear that Taiwan’s E Ink has revealed an e-ink based Android smartphone.
The smartphone includes all the functions that normal smartphones have, but it is much lighter only 80 gr and has a battery life that can last a week.
The handset will accept normal SIM cards.
E Ink has created several prototypes in various form factors and it is now working with companies that are still unnamed to introduce branded devices in the near future.
Like most e-readers the UI is not smooth and snappy as a normal smartphone, though the handset is offering a better viewing experience in sunlight and it will be priced $50.
