Company is offering QR codes for their tombstones

POSTED BY on Apr 19 under Mobile & Web News

As the memorial business hasn’t changed in years and the QR codes technology is really new, according to Randy Allen, the owner of Allen Monument Company, this is a great way to preserve and share the stories of the loved ones’ lives.

Allen started offering the QR codes a few months ago and now he’s selling several codes a week.

It works very simple. Scanning the QR code with a smartphone will direct you to a website set by the family, in which they can include photos, biography and obituary.

People can send text messages to the family, accept photos, share stories or even audio recordings.

The price range is from $99 to $400 and is one-time fee in the cost of the tombstone, after that the memorial website will always be online.
