The Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice has teamed up with Rother Print to create special beermats to raise funds and spread the word about the hospice’s work.
Users must use the Layar‘s free application to scan the beermats, which will direct the users to the website of the hospice and allow them to donate online.
The technology will allow people to interact with the print and the internet at the same time.
Rother Print has donated over 450 beermats to the local bars.
The campaign shows that customers are interacting and playing with the beermats.
The beermats have provoked an excellent response and discussions about the work the hospice do.
Sarah Champion, the chief executive of Bluebell Wood says that the beermats are a fantastic way of interacting with the website and that the hospice is the only charity in the United Kingdom that uses AR.
