Barclays has improved its Pingit peer-to-peer mobile payment application, by removing the cap on business payments and including features like QR Code scanning, integrating current accounts and user-friendly features for handling multiple phone numbers and joint accounts.
The new version of the application is dealing with a number of user complains about the limited features of the previous version.
Now the users can register multiple phone numbers for their current account and sign up for a joint account registration.
Customers can also view their account transactions a side from the Pingit transactions, however the non Barclays customers can now view all of their Pingit transactions.
Barclays is removing the cap on that business customers can receive and allows the customers to have more than one signatory on the account.
QR Code scanning is being included to provide data entry to the Pingit screen.
The functionality comes after Barclays gave access to the application to non-Barclays customers.
The bank has reached over 450,000 downloads since the release of Pingit, 3 months ago.
