Bacardi with an in-bar QR Code campaign

Novus Leisure and Bacardi created an in-bar QR Code campaign partnering with Sponge and offering the customers 2 for 1 Bacardi Mojitos.

The customers can request their QR Code vouchers by signing in the Late Night London mobile website, which is listing Novus Leisure’s chain of 45 bars across London where the bar staff is scanning the voucher so the customer can redeem the promotion.

Sponge is the designer of the QR Code registration website and built the barcode scanner app for the promotion.

The campaign will run until July 15th and will be supported with advertising across the XFM iPhone applications and Capital FM, including banners and SMS campaign by O2.

Bacardi’s marketing manager says that the majority of the customers are using smartphones to plan their night out and are taking advantage of location-based events and campaigns.
