POSTED BY on Aug 21 under Mobile & Web News

Australia’s Falls Creek ski resort is to be the first city in the country to connect via NFC, with the support of Australia’s NFC distributor NFC Wireless.

Over fifty Falls Creek merchants have already added NFC tags to their store windows allowing customers to use their smartphone or tablet devices to launch a mobile optimized webpage, where they can download discount coupons and vouchers, access social media, check the weather and buy ski lift tickets.

According to NFC Wireless, every merchant can buy the NFC enables tag for a couple of dollars and them use them as online tool to set up a “Pod” site for a few minutes.

From there, merchants can choose form more than fifteen services to offer their consumers.
