Visitors of Australia have been warned not to rely and use Apple’s mapping application to guide them in some parts of the country.

The Victoria police made the statement after several incidents where people got lost and could die from exposure or heat.

Victoria Police inspector Clemence, stated that if it was a 45 degree day, people could actually die and has become very concerned that the errant Apple Maps app is getting people lost.

The situation is dangerous and the police is suggesting people not to use the mapping app when they travel in Australia.

The Apple Maps app has been criticized since it was released but this is the first time that it is suggested that using it could kill you.

After Tim Cook apologized to the users, he suggested that people turn to rivals such as Nokia and Google Maps for navigation.
