Apple’s iPhone overtakes Nokia’s handsets and has become the most used mobile device for online activity.
In January Nokia drops the first place, as Apple’s iPhone make up the majority of internet activity.
The iPhone’s internet activity is on the rise in January, but it is falling compared to a year earlier.
In 2012 the iPhone made up 28.7% of online traffic, while in 2013 it is down to 25.9%. Nokia on the other hand has dropped with more than 15% from 37.7% down to 22.1%.
Actually Nokia gave up more than the first place, as the company fell to number 3 while Samsung has shown higher activity at 22.7%, giving them less than a percentage lead over Nokia.
Apple’s lead could be even wider, as the report does not include tablets and is limited to just smartphones.
The news is mostly good for Apple, but it is Samsung that is the big winner.
